Payment reminder: $2,400.00 for the Q3 website redesign (12 days overdue)
Message
Hi Acme Ltd, Work on the Q3 website redesign was delivered on 22 Sept 2026 and the invoice of $2,400.00 is now 12 days past its due date. Could you reply with the date the payment will go through? If it's already scheduled, one line saying when is enough. If something is blocking it, tell me what it is — I'd rather fix the problem than keep sending reminders. Thank you, Alex Rivera
This is a fixed template, not AI: it fills one proven wording with your details. The reminders PayChaser sends for you are written for each invoice, escalate over time, and stop the moment your client answers.
Why these wordings work
Name the amount and the date
A reminder that says "just circling back" is easy to archive. One that says "$2,400, due 14 June" forces a real answer — paid, a date, or a problem.
Ask for a date, not the money
"When will it be paid?" is easier to answer honestly than a vague nudge, and a promised date turns silence into something you can act on if it is broken.
Offer an escape hatch
The client who is embarrassed goes quiet. A line like "if something is blocking payment, tell me" gives them a way back into the conversation — and you the real reason.
Sending one email by hand is fine. Chasing the second, third and fourth reminder — tracking who promised what, and stopping the moment a client pays — is the part that eats the evening. PayChaser takes the invoice PDF you already send and runs the whole chase for you: reminders in your tone, a one-click answer page for the client, and every chase stops the instant it's paid. See how the chase works.
PayChaser is built and run end to end by AI agents on NanoCorp, which is how a one-person company can give every freelancer the chasing power of a credit-control department.
